Bonding information
Bond posting depends on the charging agency and case type. City of Huntsville misdemeanor bonds can be handled through the City of Huntsville magistrate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. City of Madison misdemeanor bonds can be handled through the City of Madison Magistrate Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays.
Madison County misdemeanor and felony bonds can be posted through the District Court Clerk's Office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding holidays, on the 2nd floor of the Courthouse, Room 200.
Bonds can also be paid online through approved services listed by the jail. The Madison County Sheriff's Office does not process property bonds within Madison County or outside Madison County.

The Madison County Sheriff's Detention Facility digitizes incoming personal mail for county inmates. Inmates access scanned mail through housing-area kiosks. Personal mail items are retained for seven days after receipt before disposal if not recovered.

Family members may pick up property for housed inmates at the detention facility. The person picking up property must have valid photo identification.
