Use the Bay County Clerk’s online case search to look for public court case information. The search system supports searches by name, case number, or citation number.

Case search tips

Name searches should be formatted as last name, first name, and middle name when available. A last-name-only search can be used, but more detail can narrow the results.

Bay County case numbers use case type endings that identify the kind of case. Common examples include CFMA for circuit criminal, MMMA for county criminal, TR for civil traffic, CA for circuit civil, DR for domestic relations and family law, CC for county civil and landlord tenant, SC for small claims, and CP or GA for probate.

Secure access and broader docket review

No login is needed to search for a specific case and view docket events in that case. Broader access to a full calendar of court docket events requires a secure login.

General public users, parties to a case, and Florida attorneys may request secure access by completing the Bay County Access Agreement and emailing it to eSupport@BayCoClerk.com.

Secure access is governed by the Clerk’s online records registration agreement. Each individual must complete a separate form, and login credentials are for the registered user only.

Certified court documents

Bay County offers electronically certified documents for eligible court and official records that are available in viewable electronic format. Certified electronic documents include a Clerk of Court digital signature and a unique reference number.

Use the Clerk’s E-Certify service to order electronically certified records when the document is available for online certification.

Certified documents can be verified by reference code, file upload, or QR code.

Copy requests and record limits

For criminal case records, written copy requests may be mailed or sent to Criminal@baycoclerk.com. The Clerk lists the average processing time as 3 to 7 working days for these requests.

Copy costs listed for criminal case records are $1.00 per page and $2.00 per certification. Payment may be made by money order, certified check, cashier’s check, or credit card. The Clerk’s Office does not take personal checks.

Court record divisions

Different Bay County court record questions may route to different Clerk divisions. The Court department maintains court calendars, receives and records filings, and supports court case information for several divisions.

• Civil Court covers circuit civil, county civil, landlord tenant, evictions, small claims, and related civil matters.
• Felony handles criminal offenses punishable by imprisonment in a state facility.
