Case number and record coverage
Online docket information is available for most cases filed from approximately 1990 to the present. Documents are available from 2007 to the present for most case types.
Case numbers must follow the format YYAA123456b(b). In that format, YY is the two-digit year, AA is the two-digit case type code, 123456 is the six-digit case sequence number without leading zeros, and the final location code may be K, P, M, AK, AP, or AM.
Search tip: Lack of search results does not confirm that a case does not exist.
Civil, criminal, traffic, family, and probate records
The Clerk provides separate search paths for common case categories. Traffic and criminal searches may also include a citation number field, while civil, family, and probate searches focus on the general search fields.
Access limits and confidential records
Anonymous internet users can view records except those that are expunged, sealed, automatically confidential, or made confidential by court order. Mental health, juvenile, and guardianship case searches are limited for the general public.
No remote image access is available for records in cases governed by the Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure, Florida Rules of Juvenile Procedure, or Florida Probate Rules. Party level access is not currently provided online.
Only redacted documents are available online or at the Clerk’s Office. Unredacted documents are not available online.
Certified copies and document issues
Certified copies cannot be requested through the online court records system. They must be obtained from one of the Clerk’s locations.
If a docket item has no document attached, the document may predate electronic scanning, may not be available electronically, or may be tied to an event that does not have an associated document.
If confidential information appears online, use the Report Issue link next to the document icon so the Clerk’s Office can review it.
