| Payment item | Due date | What to know |
|---|---|---|

| Full year payment | As shown on the bill | Use the full year payment section of the tax bill if paying annually. |
If a semiannual section is missing from an annual bill, the property is coded as non-owner occupied by the State Department of Assessments and Taxation. Contact SDAT if that code is not correct.
Late, unpaid, and tax sale accounts
Real property tax bills are issued on July 1 each year. Failure to pay in full, or failure to make the first semiannual payment by September 30 when eligible, makes the account delinquent.
Interest begins accruing until the taxes are paid in full. Any unpaid balance past December 31 is subject to accrued interest, penalties, and tax sale.
Baltimore County mails delinquent notices in February and mails a Final Tax Sale Notice on March 1. That notice gives the owner 30 days to pay the property taxes with accrued interest and penalties. If the property is sold for taxes, the owner has six months from the sale date to redeem the property.
Partial payments may be made toward a bill until the end of February, but they cannot be made electronically on the web. Partial payments do not stop interest from accruing.
