This page helps users work through a court records need in Delaware County, Ohio and understand the main official paths for case lookup, copies, filing, and court-related payments.

For online case searching, Case Search - MyCase provides access to non-confidential Indiana court cases in courts that use the Odyssey case management system. For certified copies and court record maintenance, the Clerk of Delaware County Circuit Courts handles records and copy requests.

Use Case Search - MyCase to search non-confidential cases in Indiana courts that use the Odyssey case management system. The search page allows users to choose the search path that matches the information they have.

After choosing the search type, limit the search by court category when helpful.

• Select the Case, Name, or Attorney tab.
• Enter the available case, party, or attorney details.
• Use available court filters such as Criminal & Citation, Civil, Family, Probate, Appellate, or Commercial.
• Review the displayed case information and contact the court for official records when needed.

Online case information is not the official court record. Official records must be obtained from the court that maintains the record.

DoxPop court record search

Delaware County also lists DoxPop as a court records search service. The county service page states that DoxPop enables users to search Delaware County court records.

DoxPop coverage includes court case data beginning in January 1989, tax warrant data beginning in January 1997, and foreign judgment data beginning in January 1989. Users can start from the county’s DoxPop court records service page.

Copies of court records

The Clerk of Delaware County Circuit Courts maintains and preserves court records under Indiana Supreme Court confidentiality rules and retention schedules. Use the county’s copies of records information when you need a court record copy or a certified copy.

Indiana Code requires a copy fee of $1.00 per page, plus $3.00 per document for certification. Copies may be picked up at the Clerk’s Office in the Delaware Justice Center.

Court filing and self-help resources

Delaware County became mandatory e-filing for practicing attorneys in September 2017. People filing without an attorney may e-file or submit paper filings at the Clerk’s Filing Office in the Delaware County Justice Center.

The Clerk’s Office cannot provide legal advice. People who need help with forms or legal questions should use the legal assistance options listed by the court or seek an attorney.

Court fees and fines

Fines and fees assessed by the Circuit Courts of Delaware County may be paid in person, online, or by mail to the Clerk’s office. The county’s court fees and fines service page explains payment options.

Payments must include the payor’s full name, contact phone number, and court case number. Accepted payment types listed by the county include cash, money order, cashier’s check, and debit or credit card, with an additional fee possible for card payments. Personal checks are not accepted.

City fines may not be paid at the Delaware County Clerk’s Office and must be paid at the City Clerk’s Office located in City Hall.
