This page helps you look up court records in Warren County, Ohio, and choose the right official path for Common Pleas, County Court, and Probate Court records.

The Warren County Clerk of Courts provides case inquiry access for Common Pleas and County Court records, while Warren County Probate Court provides its own record search for probate matters.

For Civil, Criminal, and Domestic Relations cases, start with the Common Pleas Public Access database through the Warren County Clerk of Courts. The inquiry system is similar to public terminals in the office and lets users search by name or case number.

  • Name
  • Case number
  • Date opened or date closed
  • Party birth year
  • Court type, case type, party type, division, or statute/charge filters

The online inquiry provides case history for cases filed since May 1991. For cases between 1980 and May 1991, the system provides case or reference numbers and captions only, so more detail may require office assistance.

  • Use the Common Pleas case search.
  • Enter a name or case number.
  • Select the case type or other filters that match the record you need.
  • Review the docket information and note that filing documents are not available through this inquiry screen.

Important: fees-affected e-filing becomes unavailable on the last business day of each month at 3:30 p.m. ET, and if the month ends on a Friday or weekend, the outage continues through that weekend.

Use the Warren County Court search for County Court matters. The County Court handles criminal, traffic, and civil cases for Clearcreek, Hamilton, Harlan, Massie, Salem, Union, Washington, and Wayne Townships.

The County Court case search supports several lookup fields, including name, case number, citation number, citation vehicle tag number, driver license number, date opened, date closed, and party date of birth.

Probate records are searched separately through Warren County Probate Court. The Probate Court record search allows only one search item at a time.

  • Name or company, using last name then first name when searching a person
  • Case number, entered as numbers only with no letters or dashes
  • File date, with month, day, and year fields completed

Be specific when searching by name. For first and last names, enter the last name, a comma, a space, and then the first name.

Municipal court records in Warren County

Some court records are handled by municipal courts rather than the Common Pleas, County Court, or Probate Court systems. Mason Municipal Court serves Mason and Deerfield Township, Franklin Municipal Court provides access to records it maintains, and Lebanon Municipal Court provides an online record and docket search for its court.

Lebanon Municipal Court notes that online record information may lag behind filings or judicial action by at least 24 hours and may be longer. Verified information can be requested from the court or obtained by visiting the court during regular business hours.

Older records and incomplete online results

Common Pleas case histories are available online for cases filed since May 1991. Records between 1980 and May 1991 may show only a case or reference number and caption.

If an older Common Pleas result is incomplete, the Clerk of Courts may need advance notice to secure off-site files. The Common Pleas inquiry screen also does not include the actual documents associated with a filing.
