Criminal, juvenile, and traffic case records
Criminal case information is handled outside the eCourt Public Portal. The public may view criminal case information through the Odyssey Portal, but public online access does not include documents.
Copies of non-confidential criminal case documents may be ordered through the submit a criminal record request service. The request system can provide email confirmation, billing if the record is available, or notice if the court cannot locate the record.
Traffic matters use the court’s ticket lookup and payment service. Juvenile court record access requires a petition under California Welfare & Institutions Code Section 827 using Judicial Council form JV-570.
Certified copies and records requests
Certified copies for civil records may be requested by submitting the Civil Records Request form to the Records Management Unit by Drop Box, U.S. Mail, or in person at the proper courthouse where the case is being heard.
Mail requests must include payment and a prepaid self-addressed return envelope of sufficient size and postage. The court accepts check or money order for mail-in requests. In-person payment may be made by cash, credit card, check, or money order.

In-person court record research
Individuals may research court records in person at no cost. Public access terminals and indexes are available for public use, and files may be viewed only on the premises.
