Mail, email, and phone services
General U.S. mail for incarcerated persons housed at the Main Jail or Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center is processed through the SECURUS Digital Mail Center. General mail is no longer sent directly to the Main Jail or RCCC.
Address general mail with the incarcerated person’s name and X-reference number, care of Securus Digital Mail Center-Sacramento Main, P.O. Box 20888, Tampa FL 33622. Legal and confidential mail still goes directly to the person’s housing location and must be clearly marked as legal or confidential mail.
The inmate information system also allows family members to email an incarcerated person. Emails are printed and usually delivered the next day, but incarcerated persons do not use the system to reply by computer.

Visitation and property notes
Main Jail social visits are limited to two 45-minute visits per inmate each week, Sunday through Saturday. Visits are scheduled first come, first served, as time and space allow.
Visitors must present valid identification. No more than three people, including infants and children, may visit at one time. Visitors may bring only identification, keys, and a small wallet into the visit area.
For personal property releases at the Main Jail, the requester must complete a Property Release form in the Public Lobby and wait for the property to be delivered. Property releases generally take one to three hours to process.
Funds and money orders
Funds may be deposited into an inmate account with cash, credit card, or debit card deposits using the TouchPay Kiosk in the Main Jail lobby. TouchPay Direct is also available by phone, online, or at a TouchPay retail location, and fees apply for these services.
To use TouchPay deposit methods, have the Main Jail Facility Location Number 257501, the inmate’s name, and the inmate’s X-reference number. TouchPay Direct by phone is 1-866-232-1899.
Money orders for incarcerated persons at both facilities must be sent directly to Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center, Attn: IWF Office, 12500 Bruceville Rd, Elk Grove, CA 95757. Clearly write the incarcerated person’s full name and X-reference number on the money order.

Adult Correctional Health provides health care services to adult inmates within the county jail system.
